What Training Covers

Rescue in Blue training goes beyond the classroom — equipping officers with the exact skills, tools, and tactics needed to identify trafficking and take action when it counts.

Understanding Child Trafficking:

How traffickers recruit, groom, and control victims — particularly children and young adults. Officers learn how trafficking networks operate and how predators exploit vulnerability to maintain control.

Identifying Trafficking Indicators:

The behavioral and situational warning signs that suggest exploitation is occurring. Officers learn to recognize what trafficking actually looks like during traffic stops, hotel calls, domestic disturbances, and online investigations.

Building Effective Cases:

How to document evidence, recognize patterns of exploitation, and build airtight cases that hold up in court. Every skill is designed to result in arrests that stick and prosecutions that succeed.

Survivor Interaction:

How to engage potential victims in ways that prioritize safety, dignity, and trust — without retraumatizing them or compromising the investigation.

Rescue in Blue’s impact follows a clear model.

Train

Specialized training equips officers to recognize trafficking indicators.

Protect

When officers recognize the warning signs of trafficking, victims can be identified and separated from exploitative situations.

Intervene

Officers may participate in operational initiatives where trafficking activity is identified and predators are arrested.

A coordinated operational initiative in Alabama resulted in predator arrests and the
identification of a potential trafficking victim and suspected trafficker.

The Multiplier Effect

A single trained officer carries that knowledge into every call for the rest of their career — every traffic stop, every hotel investigation, every domestic disturbance. Throughout thousands of encounters, any one of them could become the moment a child is recognized, a predator is arrested, and a life is changed forever.

As more officers receive this training, the reach of Rescue in Blue multiplies across entire departments, cities, and states. Every officer we train makes the next rescue more likely — building a growing wave of awareness that traffickers and predators cannot outrun.
